Rss2Post Task
Hey guys, I've uninstalled and installed each new version and I'm getting close now but has anyone gotten this thing to actually run as a task? Mine keeps saying that it's coming up and then skips it. I thought okay, I'll run a cron job then. I haven't done it in a couple years but I think I did it right:
Code: php -q /home/foxsextr/public_html/Forums/inc/tasks/rss2post_task.phpand it's just firing me blank emails. It works great if I run it manually. In fact almost too well. I put in an AMD news feed and it popped off a couple hundred posts instantly. I'm not sure where to go with this as I can't find a single error log for it anywhere. Any ideas? I guess I did find something in my error log. RE: Rss2Post Task
You call the task system by making a cronjob to MyBB's task.php. Don't call the rss2post_task.php file directly.

RE: Rss2Post Task
Just a quick reply to say that yea I read on the mybb forum but it doesn't work. I stopped trying long ago because it seems that my members hate looking through tons of RSS posts to find real posts when they click View New Posts. It does work when I click on the task but I'm not going to do that anymore.

RE: Rss2Post Task
You can make the forum with RSS posts non-searchable. That way the posts won't get shown on any search results (including View New Posts)
