This past week, the co-op students at A Thinking Ape participated in an internal hackathon where they had two days to develop something to show the rest of the company. How often do you see “Yay!” on packaging? (and a look at my workplace)
On Thursday, I found this on my desk after lunch. Excited, I was! Yay! My first professional business cards! There they are! 3 different coloured cards. Green, blue and black. I probably should have picked some more vibrant colours… In case you were wondering what was in the “Yay!” package, it is a card holder. “IE Desktop Online Web Browser Live Professional Ultimate Edition for the Internet” Sounds like something Microsoft would name the next version of Internet Explorer? Well it was part of the list of possible names that Microsoft could have named IE8, but fortunately the team at Microsoft sided with sanity and chose simply “IE8.” I guess it does pay off to read the default RSS feeds that come with Outlook 2007. It gave me a bit of amusement while studying for my exams which commence in… two days.
