Synology Hyper Backup Options and Pricing

The Synology Hyper Backup app allows owners of Synology NAS devices to easily set up backups to various cloud services.  However, one thing that isn’t shown in the app is the pricing of each service.  So here’s a pricing comparison (prices as of Aug 4, 2018). Synology C2 Location: Frankfurt, Germany 100 GB = €9.99/year (approx. USD $0.0100/GB/month) 300 GB = €24.99/year (approx. USD $0.0081/GB/month) 1 TB = €59.99/year (approx. Make Word spell check uppercase words

It’s a little known fact that Microsoft Word by default does not spell check uppercase words.  I had the opportunity to read through many co-op resumes from a couple universities this past week, and the typos I’ve seen seem to support this observation. IE Desktop Online Web Browser Live Professional Ultimate Edition for the Internet

“IE Desktop Online Web Browser Live Professional Ultimate Edition for the Internet” Sounds like something Microsoft would name the next version of Internet Explorer?  Well it was part of the list of possible names that Microsoft could have named IE8, but fortunately the team at Microsoft sided with sanity and chose simply “IE8.” I guess it does pay off to read the default RSS feeds that come with Outlook 2007.  It gave me a bit of amusement while studying for my exams which commence in… two days.

MsgPlus wins over Microsoft Antispyware

Although I don’t use Microsoft Antispyware, I am a big fan of MsgPlus and I have been using it since the late versions of MsgPlus 1. It’s great to see the MsgPlus community bunching up and convincing the Microsoft Antispyware team to think second thoughts about blocking MsgPlus. Patchou, the developer behind MsgPlus, has done a great job developing one of, if not the most popular addon to MSN Messenger. If you haven’t tried MsgPlus, I recommend you try it immediately: http://www.msgplus.net. It will definitely improve your MSN Messenger experience.
